Just love it
¡The sound, the magic, the everything that add to the sound!
I never have the chance to use the actual Pultec, but this is awesome to put everywhere.
Just drop it and is sounding on its own, dial it and make evrything sound even better

Great Channel Strip!!
I have way too many channel strips but the LA-6176 is about the best. It is very easy to dial in an analog tone. Thanks!

Superb Plugin
Amazing! Used a 6176 until I used this. Now I have access to the optical compressor and limiter, recordings sound more “analog” than ever, it’s wild.

Way back in the 70's I remember going to a studio in NJ that had the Pultec EQ in their rack. I could not believe the sound they produced. Now UA has done an excellent job in making this series of EQ's that come the closest to that original sound I heard in that studio...This is a must have for a home studio and I could not be happier with this purchase...Wonderful and keep up the great work...Regards, Michael

Great product for the money.
I have demo'd many of the other Pultec plugins and owned the new production hardware unit. This plugin version attempts more of the tube mojo than the others, and pulls it off as well as a plugin can. As with any plugin when you start layering saturators etc the signal falls apart somewhat; which is the physics of 0's and 1's vs real analog but buying this plugin anytime it's on sale is a no brainer. Yes you can shape that "Pultec curve" somewhat with other EQ's but sometimes simplicity is best. I'm glad I bought this, hope to own another hardware piece some day!

I like how versatile this plug-in is: it contains a wide range of machines and colors. I suppose that the simplicity of the interface is its advantage, and I made decisions quickly because of that.

A powerful combination of classic sounds. Quick and easy set up. Also a good choice if you need to save dsp for other inputs.

As with all UAD plug-ins, this one is also excellent! Very easy and simple to operate and just adding the plug-in as an insert without touching any dials makes an improvement to the sound. It’s hard to describe the sonic quality with this plug-in.

Decent plugin - easy to use, powerful result
The plugin perfectly fits my home studio providing easy to use interface and excellent sound quality. It takes effort before realizing the bottom logic of the compressors since the UI doesn’t tell much. However, once tuned to the sweet spot, the plugin contributes vastly.

I had the pleasure of using Pultecs at Coney Island Sound, and this is the most true emulation on the market.

Great Plugin
Usually the presets on most plugins I use do not work well for me. I have to do a lot of tweaking to have good results but the LA-6176 presets are very good. I used one of the bass guitar settings and it really cleaned up the signal and made it more present in the mix. It also works well on other instruments. Highly recommended.
